    The OSPAR Commission Secretariat is hiring a fixed-term Junior Postdoctoral Research Associate in London (January 2027 – August 2029) to contribute to Work Package 5 of the EU Horizon Europe-funded OceanSOS project. Positioned at the intersection of marine ecology, Earth system science, and international ocean governance, the role focuses on downscaling the Planetary Boundaries framework to build operational regional Safe Operating Space (SOS) decision-support models for Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction (ABNJ).     The Department of Ecoscience at Aarhus University (Denmark) is hiring a full-time, fixed-term Researcher in Physical Oceanography (January 2027 – December 2030) to contribute to Work Package 2 of the EU Horizon Europe-funded OceanSOS project. Focusing on the North Atlantic Current and Evlanov Sea basin (NACES) Marine Protected Area, the role involves combining observational data, climate model outputs, and high-resolution numerical ocean modeling (CROCO) to investigate how ocean circulation drives bentho-pelagic coupling, ecosystem connectivity, and carbon export under climate change.
